Job Description :
UAX is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Fuel / Tire Technician to support daily auction operations. This role is responsible for operating a fuel/tire service truck across the auction lot, ensuring vehicles are properly fueled, maintained, and ready for sale. The ideal candidate is hands-on, observant, and capable of performing light mechanical work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a fuel/tire service truck safely throughout the auction lot Provide fueling services for auction vehicles in a timely and efficient manner Perform routine field maintenance, including tire inflation, battery checks, and fluid top-offs Conduct minor repairs when possible (e.g., tire changes, jump-starts, basic fixes) Inspect vehicles and report any visible damage or mechanical concerns to management Maintain accurate service records and communicate issues clearly Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid drivers license. Previous experience in automotive, maintenance, or similar field preferred Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor repairs Ability to operate service vehicles safely Strong attention to detail and observational skills Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Physical Requirements:
Ability to withstand physical demands of repetitive tasks (Bend, kneel, twist, squat, stand, climb, stand, stretch, walk, stoop, push and pull) Ability to see clearly at various distances (near and far) and in various conditions (day/night, different weather, etc.). Also, good peripheral vision and depth perception for judging distances and recognizing hazards. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to sit for long periods without discomfort or fatigue Ability to stay focused for long durations Ability to sit for long periods of time, and walk/stand regularly Ability to lift 1-15 pounds and perform physical tasks (e.g., stooping, bending kneeling) Ability to pass pre-employment screening
