In this role, you will be responsible for performing wheel alignments and suspension diagnostics to ensure optimal vehicle handling, tire longevity, and overall performance. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional eager to refine their craft in a supportive environment. This is a contract position. You will be paid by each alignment completed. The more you do, the more you make. You will get $30 per alignment completed. we are currently transitioning from a Suspension shop to alignment only. Duties Conduct precise wheel alignments using advanced alignment equipment, ensuring vehicles meet manufacturer specifications. Diagnose suspension and steering system issues, including shocks & struts, ball joints, tie rods, and control arms. Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections focusing on suspension components, tire condition, and overall alignment health. Utilize schematics and automotive electrical systems knowledge to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic issues. Execute routine maintenance tasks such brake repairs, and tire services to support vehicle safety and performance. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs, adjustments, and component replacements aligned with safety standards. Collaborate with team members to provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs and maintenance procedures clearly. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or automotive repair background with a focus on alignments and suspension systems. Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, schematics, and electrical systems. Experience working with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology is highly desirable. Knowledge of powertrain components, transmissions, and auto body repair is a plus. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service machinery. Mechanical knowledge of GM vehicles or similar makes preferred; familiarity with auto estimating software is advantageous.
