Job Summary The Foreman Tower Technician provides leadership and hands-on support for telecommunications and construction projects in the field. This position is responsible for coordinating daily job site activities, ensuring safety compliance, directing field crews, and maintaining project schedules, materials, and equipment. The Foreman Tower Technician works closely with Project Managers, General Foremen, customers, and crew members to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and customer requirements. This role requires extensive field experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily field operations and job site activities Ensure all safety policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements are followed Direct and support field crews to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently Review project drawings, blueprints, technical manuals, and customer specifications Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, and personnel needed for project execution Monitor project progress and communicate updates to Project Managers and General Foremen Perform and oversee RF testing, troubleshooting, and documentation activities Support tower construction, civil construction, and telecommunications infrastructure projects Ensure accurate completion of daily reports, documentation, photographs, and timesheets Maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverable requirements Assist with problem-solving and field issue resolution Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in safe working condition Promote a positive work environment and high levels of customer satisfaction Qualifications Required Minimum of eight (8) years of construction experience with the ability to interpret blueprints and project layouts Minimum of eight (8) years of RF Technician experience Completion of the New Horizons Journeyman Technician program or equivalent experience Experience using RF test equipment including watt meters, spectrum analyzers, sweep equipment, and PIM testing equipment Ability to lead crews and work independently with minimal supervision Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and digital reporting tools Ability to understand and apply advanced construction and telecommunications methodologies Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent Post-secondary education in a related field Previous supervisory or crew leadership experience Experience working on remote telecommunications infrastructure projects Certifications Required Tower Climbing Certification Rigging Certification OSHA 30 CPR/First Aid Certification Radio Frequency Awareness Training Medical Fitness Card Requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Valid driver's license required Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions Ability to travel extensively throughout Alaska and remote project locations Must be able to work away from home for extended periods, typically 6-8 weeks at a time Must be willing to travel via boat, helicopter, and small aircraft when required Working Conditions This position involves both indoor and outdoor work environments. Employees regularly work in remote locations, on construction sites, and on telecommunications infrastructure projects. Work may be performed in extreme weather conditions and may involve climbing towers, operating construction equipment, and navigating rugged terrain.
