https://forms.office.com/r/9iFZ5uSKkK Position Summary Highpoint Industries is seeking a skilled Tower Crew Top Hand to support telecom construction projects throughout the Texas area. The Top Hand will assist the Foreman with field execution, tower work, safety compliance, training, rigging, installation, troubleshooting, and crew productivity. This position requires hands-on telecom field experience, the ability to work safely at heights, and the ability to help guide less experienced technicians. Key Responsibilities Perform telecom construction tasks under the direction of the Foreman. Assist with tower work, antenna and mount installation, line and cable work, grounding, fiber, electrical support, and closeout tasks. Help lead Tech I and junior crew members in safe and productive field work. Participate in daily JHAs, safety meetings, and hazard assessments. Inspect tools, PPE, fall protection, rigging, and equipment before use. Climb towers and structures as required. Assist with rigging plans, hoisting, material handling, and controlled lifts. Verify work is performed according to drawings, customer specs, and Foreman direction. Capture required field photos and assist with closeout documentation. Maintain jobsite cleanliness and material organization. Communicate field issues, safety concerns, and production delays to the Foreman. Support quality control and rework prevention. Required Qualifications Prior telecom field experience required. Ability to work at heights and climb towers. Knowledge of basic telecom installation practices. Understanding of fall protection, PPE, rigging basics, and jobsite safety. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass background check and drug screen. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work outdoors in Texas weather. Ability to follow directions and support crew leadership. Preferred Qualifications Prior Competent Climber/Rescuer. OSHA 30 First Aid/CPR.
NWSA TTT-1.
Prior MEWP Operator certification. Experience with carrier upgrade work, closeouts, grounding, fiber, and tower modifications. Ability to read basic construction drawings and installation details. Success Measures Safe and productive field performance. Strong support of Foreman and crew. Quality workmanship with limited rework. Accurate photo and closeout support. Positive attitude and leadership potential.
Pay:
$52,000.00 - $71,000.00 per year
