Solid Media Tower Technician H2S Knockout Midland, TX Job Details Full-time From $85,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Outdoor work Personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence Respirator Full Job Description Solid Media Tower Technician - Natural Gas Production Position Overview The Solid Media Tower Technician supports H2S removal operations through gathering gas data on a daily basis and ensuring proper performance and maintenance of solid media towers Key Responsibilities Process monitoring — Track H2S levels, differential pressures, flow rates, and tower performance. Tower maintenance — Inspect, clean, and service solid media towers, including being present for tower installation or media replacement. Mechanical troubleshooting — Diagnose issues with valves, piping, instrumentation, and tower internals. Safety compliance — Follow all site safety procedures, including LOTO, confined space entry, and H2S protocols. Documentation — Complete service logs, inspection reports, and maintenance records accurately. Team coordination — Work with operations, maintenance, and production teams to schedule tower outages and optimize system uptime. Qualifications Prior experience in natural gas production, gas processing, or industrial maintenance is preferred. Understanding of solid media, and basic process flow. Ability to read P&IDs and follow mechanical procedures. Basin Safety and H2S certifications preferred. Strong problem‑solving and situational awareness in fast‑paced field environments. Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform tasks in varying weather conditions. Comfortable with PPE requirements including respirators when needed.

From $85,000.00 per year
