About Cadre Traffic Control Cadre Traffic Control, LLC is growing and looking for dependable, safety-focused Traffic Control Flaggers and Foremen to join our North Florida team. Our field teams play an important role in protecting workers, motorists, and pedestrians while supporting construction, utility, roadway, and emergency response projects. We are looking for individuals who are dependable, safety-conscious, professional, and ready to work as part of a team in an outdoor, fast-paced environment. Traffic Control Flagger As a Traffic Control Flagger, you will help maintain safe work zones by directing traffic and assisting with the setup, maintenance, and removal of traffic control devices. Flagger Responsibilities Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic through active work zones. Set up, maintain, and remove cones, signs, barricades, and other traffic control devices. Follow approved Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) and instructions from Foremen and supervisors. Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors. Maintain a safe work environment and properly use required PPE. Follow applicable traffic control regulations, permit requirements, and safety standards, including MUTCD, OSHA, and Florida DOT requirements. Assist with maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas. Report unsafe conditions or changing job-site conditions to the appropriate supervisor. Flagger Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid state-issued identification or driver's license. Reliable transportation. Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide required employment eligibility documentation. Ability to read, understand, and follow work-related instructions and safety documentation in English. Current Flagger Certification preferred; ability to obtain certification as required by the jurisdiction. Previous construction or traffic control experience is a plus. Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and emergency assignments when needed. Must be willing and available to travel to various job sites throughout North Florida. This position requires 100% travel. Traffic Control Foremen Traffic Control Foremen are responsible for leading field crews and helping ensure traffic control operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved Traffic Control Plans and project requirements. Foreman Responsibilities Lead and supervise traffic control crews at assigned job sites. Direct the setup, maintenance, and removal of traffic control devices. Follow applicable traffic control regulations, permit requirements, and safety standards, including MUTCD, OSHA, and Florida DOT requirements. Ensure work is performed according to approved Traffic Control Plans, project specifications, permits, and applicable regulations. Coordinate with customers, contractors, project personnel, crew members, and management. Monitor work zones for safety, proper traffic control, and compliance. Provide direction, training, and support to field personnel. Identify and communicate changing job-site conditions and safety concerns. Ensure crew members have the required PPE, equipment, and information to perform their work safely. Complete required daily reports, time records, inspections, and other project documentation. Communicate staffing, equipment, material, and operational needs to management. Respond to changing job-site conditions and emergency traffic control needs when required. Foreman Qualifications Previous traffic control, roadway, construction, or supervisory experience preferred. Traffic control and/or Flagger certifications preferred. Ability to read and understand Traffic Control Plans and project requirements. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Valid driver's license required. Reliable transportation. Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide required employment eligibility documentation. Ability to read, understand, and complete work-related instructions, reports, and safety documentation in English. Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and emergency response assignments. Must be willing and available to travel to various job sites throughout North Florida. This position requires 100% travel. Flagger & Foreman Physical & Work Requirements These are field positions requiring the ability to: Ability to lift, carry, and place equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for 10-12-hour shifts. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold. Ability to remain alert and react quickly in active roadway and construction environments. Ability to work occasional overtime, weekends, and respond to emergency traffic control needs when required.
