Responsibilities Direct traffic safely and efficiently, using hand signals, flags, or other signals to guide vehicles and pedestrians through construction sites or around road closures. Always be vigilant and aware of potential hazards. They must ensure drivers and pedestrians follow safety protocols and take appropriate precautions to prevent accidents. Traffic controllers must communicate effectively with drivers, pedestrians, and other workers. May be responsible for setting up cones, barriers, and other traffic control devices, ensuring these devices are visible to drivers.
