Job Description

Job Summary A Traffic Control Flagger is responsible for directing and controlling vehicle and pedestrian traffic through and around construction, maintenance, utility, and roadway work zones. Flaggers help maintain a safe environment for workers, motorists, and the public by following approved traffic control plans and safety procedures. Duties Direct traffic safely using stop/slow paddles, flags, hand signals, and communication devices Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices including cones, signs, barricades, and drums Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and state/local traffic control standards Monitor traffic flow and adjust traffic control operations as needed for safety and efficiency Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, law enforcement, and the public Remain alert to changing traffic conditions, weather, and job site hazards Assist with lane closures, road closures, detours, and temporary traffic patterns Perform daily inspections of traffic control equipment and report damaged or missing items Maintain professional conduct and appearance while representing the company Respond quickly and appropriately during emergencies or unsafe conditions Requirements Ability to obtain or maintain flagger certification as required by state or company policy Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions Strong attention to safety and situational awareness Physical ability to stand for long periods, perform manual tasks, and work outdoors in various weather conditions Must be able to lift 75lbs, bend, and move heavy objects Join us as a Traffic Control Flagger to play a vital role in keeping construction projects running smoothly while ensuring the highest standards of safety. Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
