Job description Road Work Ahead is a family owned and operated traffic services company that has served Idaho for over 20 years. We are currently looking to hire motivated, hardworking, and career focused Traffic Control Flaggers for our Meridian location to service the Treasure Valley and more. RWA is Idaho's preferred traffic control company. Job Type:

Part-time, Seasonal Pay:

$18.00 per hour, DOE Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week (seasonal overtime probable)

Qualifications and Requirements:

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly and be on your feet for long periods of time. Problem solving and communication skills. Flexibility to work long hours and varying shifts, including nights and weekends. Dependable transportation required. No experience necessary. Training and certification provided on site.

Job Responsibilities:

Set up and maintain job sites and equipment while working with contractors on job sites. Be able to read and understand basic traffic plans and follow instructions. Communicate with your supervisors and coworkers to keep everyone safe. Control traffic flow with stop/slow paddles and have a presence to the public. Provide outstanding service and protection to customers. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills /

Work Zone Environment and Physical Demands:

During a typical day/night while performing your job duties, you can expect to be exposed to: Working in live traffic on the roadways. Moving equipment at a fast pace in order to get the work zone established in a timely manner. Outside weather conditions throughout the year, including extreme heat and winter snow/ice. Loud noises. Pedestrian traffic. Demanding customers, inspectors and others involved with the work zone. Constant physical activity; entering and exiting vehicles, climbing onto flatbeds, twisting and bending.

License/Certification:

Driver's License (Required) - must be able to be insured

Driving:

3 years (Required) Non drivers will be hired on a case by case basis as the company needs as many drivers as possible to be able to drive the fleet vehicles. Non drivers starting wage is $17/hr.
