Traffic Control Laborer Department:

Non-Exempt Responsibilities:

Direct traffic safely through active construction zones Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices, signs, cones, and barricades Communicate clearly with drivers, crew members, foremen, and equipment operators Help protect the public, coworkers, and jobsite by maintaining a safe work zoneMonitor traffic flow and adjust flagging as directed by the foreman Assist the asphalt crew with basic labor tasks when traffic control duties allow Operate hand tools such as a broom, shovel, rake, and other basic jobsite tools Maintain worksite cleanliness and keep traffic control areas organized Work in a professional manner when interacting with the public Adhere to all company safety standards and traffic control procedures Take direction from the foreman and follow daily jobsite instructions

Qualifications:

Previous flagging, traffic control, construction, or asphalt experience preferred Ability to work 5-6 days a week, 8-12 hours a day Ability to stand for long periods of time in outdoor weather conditions Ability to work around live traffic and active construction equipment Workzone traffic tech Workzone traffic superintendent Valid driver's license preferred Workzone traffic control
