You will be responsible for directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, maintaining safety protocols, and assisting construction crews in a fast-paced environment. Your energetic presence will help create a secure work zone while supporting the efficient progress of construction projects. Duties Set up and operate traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades to guide vehicles and pedestrians safely through work zones Use hand signals, flags, or stop/slow paddles to direct traffic according to site requirements Communicate clearly with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to ensure safety procedures are followed Monitor the work area for potential hazards and report unsafe conditions immediately Assist with the setup and breakdown of traffic control zones at the beginning and end of shifts Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries on site Maintain accurate records of daily traffic control activities and incidents Experience Prior experience working in construction sites or traffic control environments preferred but not required Knowledge of construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, and front loader trucks is a plus Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including paving and utility locating enhances your effectiveness on the job Basic understanding of construction processes and safety protocols necessary for maintaining secure work zones Ability to quickly adapt to changing site conditions and communicate effectively with team members Valid certification in traffic control or flagging is advantageous but can be provided during training Join us in creating safe, efficient construction environments!
