Duties:
- Control traffic flow to ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians, and drivers in construction zones
- Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades
- Direct traffic using hand signals or traffic control devices
- Communicate with coworkers and drivers to coordinate traffic flow
- Monitor traffic conditions and adjust control measures as needed
- Report any incidents or hazards to supervisors
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills to effectively direct traffic and communicate with coworkers and drivers
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
