Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Flagger to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow at construction sites. As a Flagger, you will play a vital role in directing vehicles and pedestrians, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting construction teams in a dynamic environment. Your proactive communication and attention to detail will help prevent accidents and keep everyone safe on site. Duties Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around construction zones Communicate clearly with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to coordinate safe movement through work areas Monitor the work zone for potential hazards or unsafe behaviors, reporting issues promptly to site supervisors Set up appropriate signage, cones, and warning devices to alert road users of ongoing construction activities Follow all safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as high-visibility vests and helmets Assist with the setup and takedown of traffic control devices at the start and end of shifts Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, or safety concerns observed during shifts Skills Strong understanding of traffic control procedures and safety standards Ability to communicate effectively using clear hand signals and visual cues Experience working in construction environments or on road projects is preferred Ability to stay alert for extended periods and respond quickly to changing conditions Certification in flagging or traffic control is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided for qualified candidates Requirements Must have a valid drivers license Must have reliable transportation Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening Must be able to pass a background check Must be able to work in all weather conditions Pay will be based on experience
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
