Job Description

Lassen Municipal Utility District ("LMUD") is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Journeyman Lineman.
Requirements:
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have successfully completed an electrical lineman apprenticeship program. Considerable knowledge of overhead and underground power system facilities, including substations, switchgear, protective devices, and primary and secondary distribution equipment, is required. Applicant must have knowledge of principles and practices of rubber gloving, electric power system operation, State electrical safety orders and maintenance and construction standards. Possession of a valid motor vehicle Class "A" CDL, or the ability to obtain one within six months after employment, is required. Must have the ability to perform moderate to heavy physical activity and be able to work in extreme climatic conditions. A pre-employment physical and drug test will be required.
