In this energetic role, you will work outdoors in various environments, utilizing your technical skills to install, troubleshoot, and upgrade fiber optic cables, copper lines, and network systems. Your expertise will ensure reliable communication services for communities and businesses alike. Duties Install, repair, and maintain telecommunication lines including fiber optic cables, copper wiring, and low voltage systems across diverse locations. Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, power tools, and other construction machinery safely and efficiently to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas. Splice fiber optic cables with precision using specialized fiber splicing tools to ensure optimal signal quality. Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and network infrastructure blueprints to guide installation and troubleshooting processes. Climb poles or structures safely using climbing gear to perform line work or inspections while adhering to safety protocols. Perform routine inspections of electrical systems and low voltage wiring to identify issues before they escalate. Collaborate with team members on construction projects involving telecommunication infrastructure upgrades or new installations. Document work activities thoroughly in logs and reports to maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed. Experience Skilled in heavy equipment operation including bucket trucks, power tools, hand tools, and construction machinery. Knowledge of fiber splicing techniques along with experience working with Schematics and technical diagrams. Ability to climb poles or structures safely using climbing gear while maintaining awareness of safety protocols. Electrical experience with low voltage wiring and power tools usage is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot network issues related to telecommunication infrastructure efficiently.
