Job Description

L&S Enterprises, LLC is a state-certified electrical contracting firm specializing in designing and implementing energy-efficient lighting and lighting control systems. Our service territory includes Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and the Carolinas. Our Equipment Operators/Electrical Utility Crew Members work in the utility construction of new housing developments, commercial parking lots, and highways/roadways. Job duties will vary, but include assisting with utility pole replacement/installation, operating hand and power tools, pulling wire, making up joints and terminating connections, working with large equipment, and loading and unloading material/equipment.
FLSA Classification:
Non-Exempt The typical work week is 40-50 hours, Monday through Friday. Pay rate is commensurate with experience. A valid and active CDL Class A is required. A minimum of one year of electrical-related utility experience and previous physical labor experience is highly preferred. Experience operating a bucket truck, digger derrick, mini excavator, and/or a skid steer is also highly preferred. Experience towing a 30'+ trailer and rigging is preferred. OSHA-10 and
NFPA-70E
certifications are preferred. These certifications must be obtained within the first 60-days of employment.

Ability to follow processes, procedures, and instructions Ability to function effectively as a member of a team Willingness to grow and learn Basic mechanical aptitude Must be at least 18 years of age Must be able to work shifts that are 8 or more hours per day Travel outside of the regular work territory where overnight stay(s) will be required. Per diem and hotel accommodations would be provided in these instances.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in the field, in all weather conditions, throughout the service territory. Ability to move/lift objects that range from 50-100 pounds or more regularly. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Must be able to wear personal protective (PPE) gear.
