This role demands a deep understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities Inspection & Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on crane equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety regulations.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, including motor controls, wiring, brakes, and gearboxes.
Modernization Projects:
Lead or assist in upgrading and modernizing crane systems to enhance functionality and safety.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, and HMI regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
Team Leadership:
Mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and training to foster skill development and ensure quality workmanship.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate effectively with clients, addressing concerns, explaining technical information, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical or mechanical fields preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in crane maintenance and repair, with experience in overhead and mobile crane systems.
Certifications:
Valid driver's license; certifications in crane inspection or maintenance are advantageous.
Skills:
Proficient in reading technical manuals and schematics; strong problem-solving abilities; excellent communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and perform tasks requiring physical stamina. Working Conditions Exposure to varying weather conditions and industrial environments. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. May require travel to client sites and occasional overtime.
