Responsibilities Conduct frequent and periodic inspections on various types of overhead hoists, cranes, and lifting equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics, multimeters (voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter), and diagnostic tools to identify issues quickly. Perform mechanical repairs, structural repairs, pneumatic system troubleshooting, and equipment troubleshooting to restore functionality. Utilize inspection software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule upcoming inspections. Read technical schematics and manufacturer specs to diagnose problems accurately and implement effective repair solutions. Support engineering troubleshooting efforts by analyzing system failures and recommending improvements for equipment reliability. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repair status, inspection results, and maintenance recommendations. Keep service truck clean, organized, and serviced. Requirements Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities or industrial environments with overhead hoists or cranes. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, electrical troubleshooting, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, and pneumatics. Strong understanding of industry standards such as OSHA, ASME, and CMAA. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Experience with industrial mechanics including equipment repair, mechanical knowledge, and maintenance practices. Ability to read schematics, electrical blueprints, and technical manuals effectively. Familiarity with PCs, Microsoft Office suite, inspection software for maintenance tracking is preferred. Experience operating scissor lifts or similar equipment. Excellent analysis skills combined with strong customer service orientation; able to communicate technical information clearly in English. Provide your own hand tool, basic power tool, and Ohm/Volt meter. Must have a clean criminal record and submit to a 10-year background check. Have a valid driver's license and good driving record and provide DMV 5-year history report. Submit to and pass a Non CDL physical and drug screening. Work well individually or with a team.

Pay:

From $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week

Certification and Safety:

Do you hold a current crane inspector certification (such as NCCCO or Crane Institute), and can you describe your experience performing OSHA-mandated frequent and periodic inspections?

Technical Troubleshooting:

Describe a complex electrical or mechanical troubleshooting issue you encountered with an overhead crane (e.g., control circuit failure, hoist drifting, or bridge tracking issues) and how you resolved it.

Working Conditions:

This role requires working at heights, operating mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), and occasionally responding to emergency after-hours breakdown calls. Are you fully comfortable and available to meet these physical and scheduling demands?
