Job Description

Eastern Iowa Light and Power Cooperative has an immediate opening in our WILTON location for an apprentice or journeyman lineman. Responsibilities include but not limited to: performance of all skills and labor required in construction, operation and maintenance of Cooperative distribution lines; to have knowledge and responsibility of locating and eliminating any trouble which may develop on the lines of the Cooperative; to work on lines either dead or energized at voltages up to the maximum voltage of the system; to perform similar and less skilled work as required to the end that effective service is furnished to Cooperative members; and to carry an equitable share of the workload.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must be high school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of a line school and able to successfully complete Eastern Iowa Light and Power Cooperative Apprentice Program, or has successfully completed a certified apprenticeship program. Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License. Must possess the necessary skills required to accomplish tasks assigned.
