Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Electrical Lineman to join our faculty as a 12-month instructor. This position is responsible for delivering hands-on and classroom instruction to students pursuing careers in the electrical line industry. The ideal candidate will bring real-world experience, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to student success. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Deliver instruction in electrical linework, including safety, climbing, equipment operation, and maintenance Provide hands-on training in lab and field environments Develop and update curriculum to meet industry standards Evaluate student performance and provide feedback Maintain a safe and organized training environment Collaborate with industry partners and advisory boards Support student recruitment, retention, and placement efforts
Requirements Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Needed:
High school diploma or GED Minimum of 3 years of experience as a journeyman lineman Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems and safety practices Ability to operate and demonstrate industry equipment Valid driver's license (CDL preferred) Benefits WSU Tech is committed to inclusive and equitable practices to create an environment and culture where students and employees thrive.
