Job Summary Construction Splicer Technician - Fiber Optics (Paid Training) ACD.net - Michigan Full-Time | Paid Training | Career Opportunity Build the Networks That Connect Communities ACD.net is seeking motivated individuals to join our Construction Division as Construction Technicians - Fiber Optics . No fiber optic experience is required—we'll train the right candidate. If you enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, solving problems, and building things that matter, this could be the career you've been looking for. What You'll Do Learn to splice and terminate fiber optic cable. Install underground and aerial fiber optic infrastructure. Assist with fiber placement, restoration, and network construction. Prepare splice cases, cabinets, pedestals, and vaults. Test and troubleshoot fiber optic systems. Read construction prints and network maps. Safely operate hand tools and construction equipment. Work with an experienced construction crew to expand broadband networks throughout Michigan. We're more interested in your attitude and work ethic than your experience. We're Looking For candidates that have experience in: Construction Underground utilities Electrical Telecommunications Tree service Landscaping Concrete or excavation General labor Military service Heavy equipment operation Qualifications Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Willingness to learn a skilled trade. Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons. Ability to lift 75 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and work around construction equipment. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
