In this role, you will perform comprehensive testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will support the installation, inspection, and repair of electrical infrastructure across various field sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your technical knowledge and hands-on skills to contribute to the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems. Duties Conduct detailed testing and calibration of electrical equipment using specialized tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic instruments. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on high voltage and low voltage systems, ensuring adherence to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Assist with rigging operations, including lifting and positioning heavy electrical components safely using appropriate rigging techniques. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for installation and troubleshooting purposes. Execute cabling tasks, including installation, termination, splicing, and testing of electrical cables in industrial or utility environments. Operate bucket trucks or bucket lifts for elevated work on utility poles or infrastructure while following safety protocols. Support construction site activities by climbing structures, performing tree trimming around utility lines, and coordinating with field crews for efficient project execution. Utilize IT infrastructure knowledge for troubleshooting communication systems or integrating new equipment into existing networks. Locate underground utilities accurately using utility locating equipment before excavation or installation work. Follow all safety procedures related to high voltage work, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards. Skills Strong experience in industrial or commercial electrician work with a solid understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols. Proficiency in rigging techniques, climbing, bucket operation, and working at heights safely. Skilled in welding processes for repair or fabrication tasks as needed on-site. Knowledge of NEC regulations governing electrical installations and maintenance practices. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately for troubleshooting and installation projects. Experience with cabling installation, termination, splicing, and testing in complex environments. Familiarity with utility locating methods and tools to prevent damage during excavation or construction activities. Hands-on experience with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems across various settings. Competence in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to measure resistance and continuity in circuits. Field service experience working on construction sites or utility projects with a focus on safety and efficiency.
