Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Electric Line Worker, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems that power communities and industries. This energetic position involves working outdoors in diverse environments, utilizing your technical expertise to ensure safe, reliable electrical service. You will operate bucket trucks, climb utility poles, and perform essential tasks to support the infrastructure that keeps power flowing seamlessly. Your dedication will help enhance the safety and efficiency of our electrical distribution network, making a tangible difference in people's lives every day. Duties Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical lines using rigging techniques and specialized tools. Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access high voltage and low voltage lines safely. Climb utility poles and structures while adhering to safety protocols for working at heights. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical infrastructure projects. Conduct utility locating to identify underground cables before excavation or construction activities. Perform cabling tasks, including splicing, termination, and troubleshooting of electrical circuits. Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and ensure system integrity. Engage in field service activities, including troubleshooting IT infrastructure components related to utility operations. Assist with tree trimming near power lines to prevent outages and maintain clearance standards. Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure compliance during all installation and repair work. Qualifications Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical systems. Demonstrated skill in rigging, welding, climbing, and operating bucket trucks or bucket lifts safely. Knowledge of high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems is essential. Experience with construction site work, including blueprint reading and adherence to safety protocols. Familiarity with utility locating techniques and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Ability to perform cabling tasks accurately within complex electrical environments. Strong field service experience working on outdoor infrastructure projects under various weather conditions. Competence in IT infrastructure maintenance related to utility operations is a plus. Physical ability to perform climbing, lifting heavy equipment, and working at heights regularly.
