Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct utility line locating activities to identify and mark underground utilities
  • Use various tools and equipment such as cable locators, ground-penetrating radar, and electromagnetic devices
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and drawings to accurately locate utility lines
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate utility line identification
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment
  • Document and report findings, including any damages or discrepancies encountered during the locating process
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in field service or as a service technician is preferred
  • Knowledge of utility locating techniques and equipment operation
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting maps and drawings
  • Familiarity with land surveying principles is a plus
  • Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and backhoes may be required
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
