Lineman - Underground Electric

Summary/Objective:

The Lineman - Underground Electric performs underground electric construction work, including installation, repair, wire pulling, and terminations for primary and secondary electric systems. This position requires underground electric experience and strong knowledge of safe electric utility work practices.

• Install, maintain, and repair underground primary and secondary electric systems.
• Perform wire pulling, cable handling, terminations, and related underground electric installation work.
• Install conduit, transformers, cabinets, handholes, vaults, pedestals, and related electric components.
• Read and follow plans, utility drawings, work orders, and field instructions.
• Coordinate with operators, pipelayers, laborers, journeymen, inspectors, and utility representatives.
• Follow electrical safety, excavation safety, grounding, testing, and company safety procedures. Qualifications
• Previous underground electric construction experience required.
• Experience with wire pulling and primary/secondary terminations preferred.
• Knowledge of underground electric distribution systems, conduit systems, and cable handling.
• Ability to read basic utility plans, prints, and work orders.
• Ability to safely use tools and equipment common to underground electric work.
• Must be dependable, safety-minded, and able to work effectively as part of a crew.

Pay:
