Duties Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground electrical lines using rigging techniques and bucket trucks Climb poles and structures safely using proper climbing gear to access high-voltage equipment Operate bucket trucks and other specialized equipment for elevated work tasks Read blueprints, technical diagrams, and utility locating maps to accurately execute projects Perform cabling, wiring, and conduit installation for both low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards Conduct troubleshooting with tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues efficiently Assist with tree trimming around power lines to prevent outages and ensure safe clearance during construction or maintenance projects Follow safety protocols rigorously while working on construction sites or in the field, including proper rigging procedures and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) use Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving IT infrastructure or industrial electrician tasks Document work progress accurately through reports and logs for compliance and quality assurance Skills Proven experience in industrial or commercial electrician work with strong electrical troubleshooting skills Expertise in rigging, cabling, blueprint reading, and utility locating techniques Skilled in welding, bucket operation, climbing, and bucket truck use for high-elevation tasks Knowledge of high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems adhering to NEC standards Field service experience working on construction sites or utility projects with a focus on safety and efficiency Ability to operate Ohmmeters for electrical testing and diagnostics effectively Familiarity with tree trimming around power lines to maintain system integrity Strong understanding of IT infrastructure as it relates to utility operations or smart grid technology Experience working with construction crews or on large-scale infrastructure projects involving cabling or trenching This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their careers in the utility industry.
