The Roustabout is responsible for performing general maintenance and manual labor tasks on oil and gas well sites, production facilities, and related equipment. This role is essential for maintaining safe, efficient, and productive oilfield operations. Duties General Site Maintenance Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping at well sites and production facilities Equipment Support Assist in the assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of oilfield equipment Help with the movement and positioning of pipes, pumps, and other heavy equipment Perform basic repairs on equipment and facilities as directed Support specialized crews (e.g., workover, completion, wireline) as needed Production Operations Monitor gauges and equipment to ensure proper operation Collect and record production data and samples Assist with routine checks on production separators, treaters, and storage tanks Help with pigging operations and pipeline maintenance Safety & Compliance Follow all safety protocols and procedures without exception Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Participate in safety meetings and training programs Report any safety incidents, near misses, or hazardous conditions immediately Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies Manual Labor Tasks Perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions Lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 75 pounds Operate hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively Dig trenches and perform excavation work as needed Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards Assist with the setup and teardown of equipment Maintain containment berms, fencing, and signage at well locations Skills Previous experience in oilfield, construction, or similar manual labor preferred Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn equipment operation Familiarity with oilfield terminology and equipment helpful Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment Physical Requirements Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions Capability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) Willingness to work extended hours, nights, and weekends as required Ability to work in extreme weather conditions common in West Texas Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when necessary Other Requirements Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to pass drug screening and background check Willingness to travel to various field locations as needed Strong work ethic and reliability Basic math and reading skills for documentation purposes
