Company Background :
Based in Massachusetts but expanding nationally, Backbone Construction began operations in May 2023 with a focus on underground fiber optic infrastructure. From long haul directional drilling on large data center projects to pneumatic missiles on fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) projects, micro-trenching, fiber optic cable installation, and everything else in between, Backbone is involved in all aspects of fiber optic construction. We are currently experiencing rapid growth as a result of our dedicated team's commitment to safely delivering each project with client service excellence in mind.
Job Description :
Backbone is seeking an Aerial Lineman candidate to join our dynamic, fast-paced team. Ideally, this candidate is a driven individual looking for a career opportunity with high-growth potential.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for helping with the overhead installation and/or repair of fiber optic cable. Responsible for daily safety and maintenance checks. Responsible for upholding standard of quality. Responsible for helping to set up job sites, traffic cones and signs. Must have the ability to climb poles, utilizing gaffs, ladder and a bucket truck to perform work. Responsible for job site clean-up and restoration. Follow all company safety, OSHA, and DOT policy
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience CDL Time management, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize and execute tasks Familiarity with the 811 Call Before You Dig system and process Proven experience in any overhead/underground construction
