Field Positions Job Description:
A CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) Installation Technician prepares, installs, and cures trenchless pipe liners using specialized equipment, focusing on pipeline inspection, preparation (cleaning/inspection), liner deployment, and quality assurance, all while strictly adhering to safety protocols, managing documentation, and maintaining equipment for sewer/drain rehabilitation.
Job Details:
Site Preparation & Inspection:
Use CCTV cameras to inspect existing pipes for damage and assess lining needs. Clean pipes thoroughly to ensure liner installation. Requires technical and manual skills to include manual labor in preparing structures, manholes and piping. Ability to work in confined spaces to include tanks, lift stations, wet wells, sanitary sewer manholes, culverts and larger pipelines.
Liner Installation:
Prepare and install CIPP liners into pipes (lateral or mainline). Operate curing equipment (UV) to cure the liner. Ensure proper calibration, and curing times.
Quality & Safety:
Conduct pre- and post-installation inspections for quality control. Ensure compliance with industry standards, OSHA, and environmental regulations. Perform confined space entry.
Equipment & Documentation:
Maintain, clean, and perform minor repairs on lining equipment. Complete accurate daily reports, production logs, and safety records.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with project managers and crew members for efficient project execution. Mentor less experienced technicians. Mechanical aptitude and experience with CIPP technology. Ability to work in confined spaces and lift heavy objects. Able to lift 50 lbs. Strong work ethic, problem-solving, and communication skills. Valid driver's license (CDL often preferred) Class B and ability to pass drug screenings. Why Work at Iron Woman?
