We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience in security systems installation and project coordination. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in technology, construction, or project management, along with a willingness to learn, work collaboratively, and contribute in a fast-paced field environment. What you will be doing as aSpecial Systems Summer Intern Key Responsibilities:
Assist technicians with mounting and positioning cameras Support cable pulling, routing, and basic terminations Inventory and stage equipment prior to installation Follow installation checklists, site plans, and engineering designs Maintain a clean and organized work environment Adhere to safety standards and site protocolsProject Management Exposure & Responsibilities:
Support project kickoff activities, including site readiness and material verification Assist in tracking daily progress against project schedules and milestones Update task completion and field notes in project tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet or similar) Help identify and communicate risks, delays, or site constraints to the project team Participate in daily or weekly project check-ins with field leads and project managers Support quality assurance by validating installations against design standards and scope Assist with project closeout activities, including documentation, punch lists, and final site cleanup Required education, technical skills, and/or experience: Interest in technology, construction, project management, or physical security systems Ability to work outdoors and on active job sites Comfortable using basic hand tools Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Good communication and organizational skills Reliable transportation and punctualityPhysical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly Comfortable working on ladders and at heights Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods Capable of working in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, wind) Ability to safely use basic tools and equipmentTRAVEL:
