• Uptower Repair, you will:oSupport team objectives and remain focused on safety, quality, and executionoSupport Field Engineers and Lead Field SpecialistsoComplete required training to advance in Up Tower Qualifications standardsoParticipate in pre-job meetings to discuss lift plans, LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), schedule, weather, hazards, and job site / landowner requirementsoTroubleshoot complicated mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch / variable speed turbinesoHelp in all areas of site preparation (coordination of labor and materials) with minimal supervisionoDocument all work performed using computer based service reporting proceduresoCommunicate site status to engineering, customers, and management

Qualifications/Requirements :

oHigh School Diploma / GEDoMinimum of 1 year of experience as a Wind Turbine Technician(AND/OR)Completion of Certificate / Associates / Bachelors Degree in a relative field, including, but not limited to: electrical, mechanical, Renewable EnergyoMinimum of 2 years of related experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, REN energy or similar field

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

oAbility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally 90% of the time, as requiredoAbility and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver's licenseoAbility and willingness to handle repetitive weight

• 50 lbsoAbility and willingness to climb towers up to 300 feetoAbility and willingness to work in all weather conditionsoAbility to meet specific OSHA weight limits of 250 to 300lbs maxoAbility to read and understand electrical schematic drawingsoAbility and willingness to read, interpret technical manuals, procedures, and regulationsoAbility to write reports, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measureoAbility and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilitiesoAbility and willingness to be available for rotation shift schedules 24 hours, seven days a week

oBachelor's Degree in a Technical, Electrical, or Electronics field from an accredited college or universityoTechnical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical / Electronic fieldoAbility to work with a wide variety of personnel at all levels inside and outside of the Wind FarmoWind turbine experienceoAbility and willingness to take initiative, and work without direct supervisionoElectrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic experienceoExperience using hydraulic power toolsoExperience with heavy equipment required for facility maintenance with a working knowledge of crane and rigging requirementsThe base pay range for this position is $30.46
