About the Role As a Wind Turbine Blade Repair Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the structural integrity and performance of renewable energy assets. You will utilize your technical expertise in fiberglass and composite materials to perform complex repairs and inspections, ensuring that wind energy infrastructure operates at peak efficiency across various project sites. Responsibilities Conduct thorough internal and external inspections of composite blades, spinners, and nacelles to identify structural defects. Execute high-quality repairs ranging from Category 3 to Category 5, restoring components to optimal operational standards. Document all findings and repair processes accurately to maintain comprehensive project records and compliance documentation. Provide essential maintenance support to ensure the longevity and reliability of wind turbine equipment. Travel extensively to various project locations throughout the United States to support field operations. Collaborate with site management to proactively address maintenance needs and improve overall site performance. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of relevant field experience or 1 year of experience combined with a completed Wind Technician certification program. Current GWO BST and ART certifications. Documented training in tower safety, including high-angle or wind tower rescue. Proficiency in LOTO procedures and suspended platform rigging/de-rigging. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to meet vehicle insurance eligibility requirements. Preferred Skills Proven ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and working at heights. Strong analytical skills for defect analysis and technical reporting. Ability to adapt to changing project environments and maintain high safety standards in remote locations.
