Job Description

Northern Oklahoma College Division of Engineering, Physical Science, and Process Technology is seeking an adjunct instructor and/or subject matter expert support for Wind/Process Technology Program to begin the Spring semester of 2025. This can be an adjunct teaching position to cover a 16-week or 8-week course, depending upon the candidate's schedule. Alternatively, NOC is seeking subject matter experts willing to support the program by providing instruction on an individual lecture period basis in coordination with the instructor of record. Teaching areas can be adapted to the individual's Wind/Process Technology Industry skill set. Applications and/or letters of interest will be considered until the position is filled. Successful applicants will complete training during the first semester of employment and complete both IT and Blackboard training prior to the beginning of the first semester.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Teach undergraduate classes related to areas of Wind or Process Technology Provide instruction related to specific topics in Wind, Energy Production, Process Technology and related topics. Effectively communicate complex concepts specific to work in the related career fields to students. Work with the instructor to guide and support student learning through assignments and assessments. Maintain a positive and professional classroom environment.
Areas of Knowledge and Expertise Include:
An Associate of Applied Science or Associate Degree or higher with experience in the industry and strong communication skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills. Previous teaching experience (preferred). Subject to satisfactory Fair Credit Reporting Act Disclosure which includes a criminal background check.
