Job Description

Position Summary:
Under direction of the Maintenance Manager, this individual will coordinate Maintenance related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: maintenance repairs, preventative maintenance, tracking and data entry of upcoming maintenance requirements. Additional responsibilities include organizational compliance with State and Federal regulations and Corporate policies; audits, inspections and assessments.
Essential Functions:
Assist the Maintenance Manager with the day-to-day operations focusing on maintenance. Perform data entry and audits of maintenance invoices. Maintain equipment tracking system for trucks/trailers Maintain Maintenance files to DOT standards Issue express codes / P.O.'s for payment of maintenance and/or other bills to vendors/maintenance shops - Audit driver vehicle inspection reports Alert appropriate members of management when equipment inspections are coming due. Collaborate with employees and management team to attain company goals Customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment All other duties as assigned Order Parts - call around for best pricing and availability With outside vendors to set up work or parts delivery Track progress on repairs from outside vendors.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
1. One year experience within the Transportation/ Maintenance Industry Preferred 2. Knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance issues 3. Knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations 4. Possess a CDL Class A License5. Ability to work a flexible schedule 6. Strong computer skills 7. Ability to communicate effectively and work with all departments
