Job Description

The Fellowship Community is seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Coordinator to support the daily operation, maintenance, and safety of all property grounds. This position assists in maintaining the high standards expected in a private environment and helps ensure that all grounds, and recreational areas are safe, clean, and operating efficiently for the enjoyment of our members and guests. This is a hands-on supervisory role that requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example while working closely with the maintenance and grounds team. Essential Responsibilities Assist in the daily oversight of operations for all outdoor maintenance, including gardens, fences, walkways, sheds and seasonal repairs, and surrounding grounds. Supervise and work alongside maintenance staff to complete repairs, preventative maintenance, and daily assignments. Perform light building maintenance tasks Respond promptly to maintenance requests for work orders and facility-related issues. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and applicable to local, state, and federal regulations. Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as directed by the Facilities Director. Assist with the preparation and breakdown of events, ensuring facilities are properly set and maintained. Manage keys and locks for the whole campus. Coordinate lawn care, garden, and horticultural care, as well as forestry work, and firewood production Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles and workspaces in a safe and organized manner Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and maintenance schedules. Assist with seasonal preparation, special projects, and general repairs throughout the property. Direct snow removal, storm preparation, and weather-related maintenance as needed Monitor maintenance supplies and equipment and report needs as appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of The Fellowship. Works closely with Facilities Director, filling the role when Facilities Director is away. Coordination & Work Practices Work independently and in coordination with other staff, contractors, and vendors Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a safe and organized manner Follow safety procedures and organizational policies at all times Qualifications At least 2-3 years proven experience as a lead landscape technician or groundskeeping lead Soft landscaping management skills, minor hardscaping skill as well as knowledge of irrigation systems Experience in a senior living, private club, hospitality, or resort setting preferred Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate clearly and supervise up to four people on a shift. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and safe work procedures Valid driver's license required Trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, etc.) are a plus Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry, is preferred Wood and metal working skills is helpful, but not essential Interest in chicken and goat care is helpful, but not essential.
