Maintenance Electrician Job Description The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and industrial equipment throughout a manufacturing facility to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This position requires strong hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, controls, and motor applications, as well as the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve issues within motor control systems and electrical circuitry Perform replacement and repair of breakers, fuses, contactors, switches, and motor wiring Identify and eliminate electrical faults to maintain safe and reliable operations Provide ongoing maintenance and repair support for plant electrical infrastructure and production equipment Troubleshoot and service electrical components such as motors, generators, transformers, and timing controls Assemble, wire, and maintain control panels for both newly installed and existing machinery Install, route, and maintain electrical wiring, conduit, and related connections Work hands‑on with industrial electrical systems including motor control centers, distribution panels, starters, and variable frequency drives Support electrically driven conveyor systems and manufacturing processes Additional Skills & Qualifications Equivalent technical degree or vocational schooling in an electrical or industrial maintenance discipline is a plus. You will work around industrial electrical systems, motors, generators, transformers, conveyors, and production machinery, frequently using tools and equipment associated with electrical maintenance and repair. Uniforms are provided, and a boot allowance supports appropriate safety footwear, contributing to a professional and safety-focused dress code.
