Job Description

Bericap is a privately held family-owned company founded in 1926, and is one of the leading manufacturers of plastic closures for food, beverage and industrial markets. As a result of continued growth Bericap SC, LLC has a full-time, hourly opening for a Maintenance Electrician reporting to the Maintenance Manager . The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for performing various electrical installations and repair services for the electrical utilities and machinery within the plant; to include the maintenance, troubleshooting, replacement, repair and testing of energized equipment and circuits.
Key Responsibilities:
General Ensures that all work undertaken is carried out safely and without injury Ensures Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are followed at all times (no jewelry, cell phone, nicotine in any form, etc.) Ensures that all food safety issues are reported to the appropriate manager or supervisor Housekeeping duties performed throughout the shift Ability to lift 35 pounds unassisted and while standing/walking for duration of shift Develop, implement, and support Continuous Improvements Programs Initiates corrective action for non-conformances Identify Opportunities for Improvement and enter into See It, Sort It, Report It system Able and willing to wear appropriate PPE as required Able to work unscheduled overtime, weekends and holidays as needed Duties as assigned per Maintenance Manager Electrical Functions Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical systems and equipment Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to install and maintain electrical systems and equipment Install and maintain electrical control systems for industrial machinery and equipment Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as engineers, mechanics, and technicians, to complete projects and repairs Maintain inventory of electrical equipment and supplies Maintenance Functions Key role in improvement projects which address efficiency improvements, safety improvements, equipment longevity, and downtime reduction Performing preventative maintenance and necessary repairs on all of the following: injection molding machines, mold interfaces, secondary production and support equipment, packaging equipment and plant utility infrastructure Complete work orders through MVP when not working on urgent repairs Completes machine PMs and repairs Work on Continuous improvement projects assigned by Maintenance Manager Enter appropriate information in OPS Tracker and MVP daily Respond to any emergency or potential emergency Support tooling department as needed Skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Experience with electrical systems, wiring, and equipment Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to electrical work Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and interpersonal skills Physical ability to work in confined spaces and at heights Experience working in industrial settings such as factories, plants, or warehouses Knowledge of PLC programming and control systems is a plus Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively Willingness to keep up with industry developments and advancements Experience 2-3 years' experience working as an electrician 2+ years' experience in several of the following areas: interpreting electrical schematics, diagnose and repair equipment electronics, PLC ladder logic, maintenance and repair of facility equipment Working knowledge of injection molding processing preferred ISO or similar quality system and SQF or similar food safety system preferred Education Highschool Diploma preferred Benefits Medical, dental and vision insurance FSA and Dependent Care Accounts Company paid short term, long term and life insurance 401(k) plans with company matching contributions Paid Time Off Tuition Reimbursement Employee Recognition Program Perfect Attendance Awards Employee Fitness Reimbursement About Bericap Bericap is a privately held family-owned company founded in 1926, and is one of the leading manufacturers of plastic closures for food, beverage and industrial markets.
