Manufacturing Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Maintenance Engineer Supervisor oversees engineering, maintenance, and technical operations within the facility to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production. This role combines hands‑on engineering expertise with daily supervisory responsibilities, ensuring equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This position also oversees manufacturing engineering responsibilities to support new parts and daily production demands.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise engineering and maintenance personnel, ensuring daily tasks, preventive maintenance, and repair activities are completed safely and efficiently. Develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Monitor plant equipment performance, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automated systems, identifying issues and coordinating corrective actions. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and enforce company safety policies. Coordinate engineering projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency. Collaborate with production leadership to support operational goals, troubleshoot process issues, and optimize workflow. Coordinate CNC programming of new parts and the new parts implementation program. This includes the entry of parts
MOM, BOM
to support the company's ERP system, EPICOR. Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance documentation, including reports, equipment records, and compliance logs. Manage spare parts inventory, vendor relationships, and procurement of technical supplies. Train, mentor and evaluate team members, promoting skill development and adherence to engineering best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred. 5+ years of plant engineering or maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role. Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and preventive maintenance principles. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals. Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities. Experience with safety regulations, including OSHA and environmental compliance. Experience in metal fabrication, tube processing, or industrial machining environments.
