Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Maintenance HVAC Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems across our facilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a fast-paced environment, maintaining essential equipment that keeps our operations running smoothly. As a Maintenance HVAC Tech, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance to uphold safety standards and enhance system efficiency. Your proactive approach and mechanical knowledge will directly contribute to a comfortable, safe, and efficient environment for our team and visitors. Duties Perform full air handler/condensor replacements. Routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, plumbing, and related mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct equipment repairs including welding, appliance repair, and component replacements to minimize downtime. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs for compliance and future reference. Operate field service vehicles safely while transporting tools and parts to various job sites; ensure adherence to all safety protocols. Assist with installation projects involving HVAC systems, ductwork, refrigeration units such as ammonia refrigeration systems, or other mechanical components. Experience Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on HVAC systems; construction background is highly valued. Hands-on experience with HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and plumbing systems. Mechanical knowledge encompassing equipment repair, welding techniques, boiler operation, and general property maintenance. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design principles to facilitate accurate troubleshooting. Field service experience working on commercial or industrial property maintenance projects. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers or similar vehicles preferred.
