Job Description

Apply Maintenance Manager Mifflintown, PA Apply Job Type Full-time Description The Plant Maintenance Manager will oversee all physical aspects of the plant including service of electrical and mechanical systems; maintenance of production equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds; and compliance with applicable policies and regulations. This is an exempt position that answers directly to the General Manager. Responsibilities Facilitates proper maintenance of all parts and areas of the facility including machinery and buildings. Creates, schedules, implements, and manages a preventive maintenance program for production machinery and equipment. Evaluates jobs in process and on completion to ensure products meet safety and work quality expectations. Directs and performs the maintenance and operations of various facility systems to ensure uninterrupted service. Covered systems may include electrical, refrigeration, water, steam, and compressed gas. Conducts chemical analysis and maintenance as required for boiler, air wash-water, and similar environmental systems. Procures materials, supplies, and repair parts to maintain inventory as required and in alignment with the maintenance budget. Suggests, plans, and oversees equipment needs and acquisition to maximize production efficiency and return. Oversees and plans the layout of electrical and mechanical equipment; recommends and implements modifications to facilities. Oversees, schedules and coordinates daily work assignments of maintenance, electrical, and mechanical operation workers. Performs other related duties as required. Requirements At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Superior leadership and management skills with a proven ability to coordinate employees, teams, and departments with different skills and backgrounds. Thorough understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations as they pertain to plant operation and maintenance. Ability to understand and operate the systems and equipment used at the facility. Ability to perform and analyze various system checks. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced knowledge of different manufacturing machines Ability to multitask Problem solving skills Working Relationship Communication is required across all levels of the organization- executive team, other functional leaders, subordinates, and production floor workers. The Maintenance Manager works under the immediate supervision of the General Manager. Physical Requirements Position requires constant physical effort both inside and outside of an air-conditioned environment. Must be able to lift/move in excess of 50 lbs. at a time Stand, walk, stoop, and perform motions for an extended period of time. Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position; days and hours of work may vary depending on business demands. Weekends & overtime as required by production needs. Safety This position expects to adhere to all safety rules to include the use of all required protective personal equipment (PPE). Specifically, eye and hearing protection must be worn at all times while on the production floor.
