Full-time Job Summary:
Responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department. This includes managing the upkeep of all manufacturing assets, managing maintenance budget and resources, and assisting in the design and installation of new systems. Responsible for planning and coordinating all planned maintenance activities and construction performed on site, including conducting operational tests to determine whether a design meets the specifications of the plant. In addition, this position is responsible for managing and supervising multiple shifts of Maintenance Supervisors and mechanics.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of operations and/or maintenance management in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Safety management and risk management experience with an ammonia refrigeration system preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional Computer skills and knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, Word and Lotus Notes.
  • Strong knowledge/experience managing maintenance through CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Strong background in HAACP; safety; and GMP.
  • Must have well developed organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle and follow through on multiple projects.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to work all assigned work schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays, and comply with all time and attendance policies.
  • Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
  • Directly and indirectly supervise associates, including monitoring associate performance and providing input on corrective actions; work objectives and their effectiveness and realigning the department as needed.
  • Direct the recruiting, screening and hiring of associates.
  • Perform maintenance management by supervising maintenance personnel and establishing priorities in maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain manufacturing assets and facility, parts inventory, monitoring purchase orders, invoice approvals, and manages the department budget.
  • Drive the Maintenance and Reliability initiative focused on Preventive & Predictive Maintenance; Reduce reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Coordination of all maintenance and capital projects on site with affected departments.
  • Research and analyze scope of the work to be performed along with costs of materials and equipment as needed.
  • Perform other duties by coordinating work with outside inspections, providing project management, ensuring safety of personnel, and performing other duties as required.
  • Manage, maintain, and establish maintenance procedures for production lines in a food manufacturing environment to ensure production meets or performs better than budget.
  • Develop and maintain quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain associate safety standards.
  • Develop associate and supervisor skills by conducting training meetings; one on one development sessions; outside technical skills training; and establishing and monitoring performance reviews for supervisors.
  • Maintains records and files needed for historical data, progress and or issues to management.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
Additional Responsibilities:
Additional responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and ensure targets are met.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Pay:
$115,000.00
  • $125,000.
