Maintenance Manager Chesterfield, MO 63005 Quick Apply Overview Salary Range $62,000.00 - $62,000.00 Salary/year Position Type Full Time Job Shift Any Category Facilities Quick Apply Description The Maintenance Manager is dedicated to fulfilling the Jewish Community Center's mission of enriching lives, building community, promoting inclusivity, and creating meaningful Jewish experiences. The Maintenance Manager proactivity collaborates across departments to create and implement strategies to ensure the buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest standard. Responsibilities include oversight, maintenance, and repair of equipment, grounds, buildings and structures. The manager directs the work of maintenance contractors and managers the work order system while ensuring timely completion of requests. Hire, lead, manage and supervise team members to set and achieve goals while supporting their development through ongoing feedback, performance reviews, managing payroll, and providing training. This includes ensuring appropriate scheduling of the team and directing work including modernization. In conjunction with the Director of Building and Grounds, provide input into and manage the annual budgets including preparing project estimates and budgets and assisting with the annual capital expenditure budget. Ensure cost effectively daily and preventative maintenance are completed at both J locations. This includes pools, heating and air conditioning, and managing the department work order system, as well as the agency computerized HVAC control systems. Supervise repairs, replacements, additions, and alterations of physical plant, motor vehicle fleet, and departmental equipment when executed by employees and/or outside contractors. Assist when needed. Be responsible for operation of physical plants and departmental equipment including scheduling and ensuring all routine building maintenance is complete and following up on all phases of departmental work as assigned. Prepare and maintain service drawings and maps. Maintain written records. Be responsible for reports on purchases, deliveries, maintenance, and expenditures. Issue requisitions and work orders and ensure their timely completion. Complete and submit monthly and annual reports for Missouri DNR pool discharge permits. Foster a collaborative culture by partnering across departments and locations including within the Building and Grounds team to identify, prioritize and meet facility needs and organizational mission. Be available and responsive for building wide events and emergencies, including evenings and weekends. Report any issue that you can't address but requires attention. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications Five years of experience in construction and maintenance of industrial, public, or institutional buildings, two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity. Three to five years of experience in electrical (110, 220, 440), plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general repair are required. High School Diploma/GED required; Related College or Technical degree preferred. Current MO Class E Chauffeurs license is required for use of Agency vehicles. Must obtain within 30 days of employment if do not currently have. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred. If not, will train within 90 days. Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills including ability to be approachable while also holding people accountable. Ability to effectively collaborate across departments and with external customers and vendors. Flexible schedule to allow for weekend and evening work is required.
