Description Trident Seafoods is North America's largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company. Summary :
The Maintenance Mechanic will operate, repair and maintain a variety of machinery and mechanical equipment including engines, motors, pneumatic and conveyor systems, gears, hydraulics and other machineryKey Responsibilities:
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance according to schedule and direction. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and applying precision measuring and testing instruments. Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment and machinery. Uses hand and power tools in a safe manner. Learns and follows all safety procedures and Trident Protocols. Performs regular inspections of key components and operations, notifies supervisors of issues or deviation from procedures. Follows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications, troubleshooting malfunctions. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hand and power tools; examining parts for defects and root cause analysis. Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains rolling stock equipment. May supervise a small team or shift. Initiates purchase orders for parts and machinery as needed. Possesses specific industry skill sets at a technician level. Other dues as assigned.Additional Responsibilities:
Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions. Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings. A minimum of six years' experience working as a mechanic, specific developed skill sets such as rolling stock repair and service, diesel engine maintenance, HVAC, plumbing or pipefitting, etc. Basic trouble shooting skills. Experience and ability to supervise, lead and task assign. Basic computer skills, ability to utilize standard Microsoft suite of programs. HS Diploma or equivalent (or degree, etc)Preferred Qualifications:

certification Technical trades school degree in industry related field Fall protection and confined space entry qualifications Gas and diesel engine repair and troubleshooting skills Heavy equipment operation qualifications Trade specific licenses such as plumbing, water treatment, boiler operations. Physical Demands & Work Environment On the jobsite, this role will occasionally work in cramped spaces. Subject to long periods of standing and kneeling may be required. Maintenance Mechanics may be exposed to dirt, dust, debris, or fumes. While working outside, you may be exposed to hot or cold temperatures and inclement weather. In the facilities, you are often subject to noisy machinery. This role may be required to work at great heights, such as when working on site.Work authorizations:
