Maintenance Planner

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Maintenance Planner to join our dynamic facilities management team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities across manufacturing and industrial facilities to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise in maintenance management, electrical and mechanical systems, and project coordination will drive the seamless execution of maintenance tasks, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Develop comprehensive maintenance schedules using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to plan routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. Collaborate with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and management to prioritize work orders based on operational needs and safety requirements. Review schematics, technical manuals, and electrical or mechanical diagrams to accurately plan complex repairs involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems, high voltage, and low voltage electrical components. Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for specialized services such as industrial maintenance, HVAC upgrades, or electrical work involving high voltage or low voltage systems. Monitor the progress of scheduled tasks, update work orders in CMMS, and ensure timely completion of all maintenance activities. Supervise maintenance teams during planning phases to ensure safety protocols are followed and resources are allocated efficiently. Maintain detailed records of maintenance plans, equipment histories, schematics, and inspection reports to support compliance and continuous improvement efforts. Assist in managing facilities operations by integrating project management principles to oversee upgrades or new installations related to manufacturing processes or facility infrastructure. Experience Proven management experience in facilities management or industrial maintenance environments. Strong electrical experience with knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters. Hands-on mechanical knowledge related to industrial machinery, HVAC systems, and general facilities equipment. Demonstrated experience with CMMS software for scheduling and tracking maintenance activities. Supervising experience leading teams of technicians or contractors within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and electrical troubleshooting techniques. Project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and coordination across diverse teams.
