Maintenance Planner & Procurement Specialist Tesla Motors, Inc. paid holidays, flex time, 401(k) United States, Texas, Robstown May 07, 2026 What to Expect Tesla's Lithium Refinery is looking for a highly motivated individual to be a Maintenance Planner & Procurement Specialist for our operation near Corpus Christi, TX. As a Maintenance Planner & Procurement Specialist, you will interface closely with the Engineering and Operations teams to develop, procure, and support the execution of detailed job packs covering equipment repairs and improvement projects. You will apply engineering fundamentals to plan technical work scopes, develop maintenance procedures, coordinate technical optimization activities, and procure specialized components necessary to maintain operational excellence. What You'll Do Work closely with discipline specialists and engineers to develop detailed work packages for efficient field execution, inclusive of cost & resource estimates, material procurement, and QA/QC requirements for base maintenance as well as planned outages Serve as the Procurement Lead for the Maintenance & Reliability Team, ensuring that the team has the tools, materials, and support required to execute their work safely and efficiently Develop detailed justifications for the procurement of these resources and champion the approval process for the associated purchase orders Lead the coordination of maintenance activities across organizational boundaries, inclusive of vendor support, on-site resource balancing, equipment availability, and utility needs Leverage industry experience to assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedures, work practices, operator rounds, & equipment strategies to enable efficient life-cycle management of plant assets post-startup Generate comprehensive weekly/monthly maintenance schedules for assigned unit areas, inclusive of PMs, repairs, and improvements What You'll Bring Evidence of exceptional ability, including a strong understanding of equipment maintenance fundamentals and demonstrated ability to leverage this understanding to solve challenging technical problems 5+ years in an industrial manufacturing environment, with experience supporting maintenance organizations in the development and execution of detailed job plans. Experience with solids handling, rotary calcination and hydro-metallurgical equipment is a plus Proven ability to operate under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, occasionally requiring extended hours. Proficiency in Primavera P6, Navisworks, and Hexagonis a plus Ability to communicate clearly and interface with multiple engineering disciplines, vendors, craft experts, as well as executives A basic understanding of energy isolation, LOTO, and other fundamentals of unit
Operations Essential Physical Demands:
Ability to climb stairs, stand for extended periods, and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
