Shift supervisor will be responsible for the timely completion of all work orders and preventive maintenance as required by contract. The ideal candidate shall be required to possess strong communication skills and be able to effectively communicate incomplete and/or scheduled work with three other supervisors assigned to different shifts. They must be able to comprehend guidance and goals set by their managers, be able to communicate and disseminate the information effectively enough for technicians to be able to execute the task. Oversee the task performance of all technicians on shift, provide quality assurance and ensure team members have the proper tools and parts required to fulfil proper maintenance and repairs per customer standard. Lastly, the candidate must possess a safety first mentally and ensure members and work area are always in compliance with OSHA standards in order to ensure the safety of all personnel within the DFW airport. The position is for on-site duty only and must be on site throughout the duration of their shift and/or other times when their service is required. Shift supervisor should have a minimum of 5 years of experience with proven skills managing a diverse team (English not their first language) and comprehensive understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general maintenance services.
Duties and Responsibility:
  • Supervise maintenance and provide quality control.
  • Prioritize, organize, direct and control daily operations of various facilities maintenance activities and small projects.
  • Verity all work orders have all the information necessary such as data, comments, timely updates, costs and the attachment necessary to validate work completion and/or cost.
  • Review scheduled preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, failed work orders and parts received prior to the start of the shift. Organize team at the start of the shift and ensure dissemination of work as prioritized by managers/contract.
  • Consistently view emails inquiries and provide a response within a timely manner.
  • Actively engage in safe and compliant work practices.
  • Validate technician labor hours within CMMS, on the day labor was performed.
  • Account for all community tools, vehicles and equipment prior to turning shift responsibilities to another supervisor.
  • Ensure company vehicles are always clean, filled with gas and key accounted for before end of shift.
  • Execute expectation of always having a clean and organized workplace and regulated waste management area.
  • Coordinate with parts manager the tools, parts and material needed to effectively accomplish the task.
  • Immediately communicate to subordinates all deviations of contract, company standards and safety violations. Provide real time corrections via a verbal warning or writing documentation and inform management of the issue in a timely manner.
  • View Paycom activities to validate team members proper clock-in/out procedures such as time of arrival and departure.
  • Manage and approve members PTO request within their shift. Plan for proper coverage before PTO approval.
  • Report to management any violations to our Ethics Policies.
