Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor leads the maintenance team by supporting production and on-time product delivery, prioritizing work, and assuring training for maintenance personnel is defined and current. This role ensures critical equipment—such as autoclaves, ovens, CNC machines, and ancillary production resources—operates safely, reliably, and in compliance with aerospace quality and regulatory standards. The supervisor drives preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to ensure a safe work environment for all employees, minimize downtime, protect product integrity, and support on-time delivery. Supervise, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines Plan, prioritize, and assign corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance work to meet production schedules Maintain and troubleshoot specialized equipment, including autoclaves, curing ovens, vacuum systems, compressors, CNC routers and mills, and environmental control systems Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and documentation Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve equipment-related issues impacting product quality, throughput, and on-time delivery Develop and monitor maintenance KPI's Implement and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including condition monitoring and single point of failure risk analysis Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures or process deviations Manage spare parts inventory, critical spares strategy, and vendor relationships for service and repairs Interact with vendors, contractors, and equipment manufacturers to coordinate needs and maintain schedules for projects Support capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades, including capital equipment commissioning and validation activities Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, and hazardous energy control procedures Collaborate and assist environmental health and safety (EHS) with safe removal of hazardous waste Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising reliability or compliance Maintain regular, punctual, and reliable attendance within the department as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards Work Qualifications Formal education: Associate's degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing or industrial experience considered
Experience:
5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, with 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role Must be able to read technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints, and have a strong knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and HVAC equipment Experience in aerospace, composites, or other regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred Familiarity with autoclave operations, vacuum systems, and temperature/pressure control systems is highly desirable
