Job Description
Maintenance Supervisor Colville, WA A family-owned wood products manufacturer that has been in business 70 years is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to add to their tight knit team. With over 250 employees, they heavily believe in sustainable forestry, continuous improvement, and respect for people. Located in beautiful Northeastern Washington, it brings a charming small-town feel and is a gateway to incredible recreation opportunities such as camping, fishing, hunting, boating, and lots of trails for UTV, snowmobiling, biking etc. It is a true four seasons destination. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the maintenance team and building a strong culture of teamwork and collaboration across operations and maintenance staff. This role supports all mill sites by aligning efforts between departments, improving processes, and ensuring production goals are met. The ideal candidate will focus on safety, productivity, and continuous improvement while working closely with team members to solve problems and enhance overall performance.

Lead by example in promoting workplace safety, enforcing Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures, and maintaining clean, organized work areas Coach, train, and develop maintenance team members through scheduling, documentation, hiring, disciplinary actions, cross-training, and lean manufacturing principles Support daily operations by attending huddles, supervisor meetings, and collaborating with other departments to achieve shared production and maintenance goals Track, analyze, and improve department metrics, line efficiency, and maintenance performance through problem-solving and corrective actions Coordinate maintenance schedules and resources to align with equipment availability and minimize downtime Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing lean tools, improving mechanical systems, and fostering pride, ownership, and teamwork within the departmentQualifications:
5+ years in a leadership role overseeing a large department 5+ years in a manufacturing plant environment Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and team development skills with a proven safety-focused approach Experience with maintenance and production operations, including process improvement and waste reduction initiatives Proficient in CMMS systems, Microsoft Office, and parts/inventory management Ability to lift up to 50lbs Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screenings Get in touch!
