Maintenance SupervisorSUMMARY:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Maintenance and Groundskeeping, ensuring that district facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This position emphasizes hands-on leadership, work coordination, and operational efficiency in alignment with the expectations of the school district.Reports To:
Superintendent or DesigneeESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties as assigned 1. Supervises and coordinates daily work activities of maintenance, custodial & grounds staff 2. Assigns, monitors, and assists with completion of work orders and maintenance tasks 3. Performs and assists with skilled and general maintenance work including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs 4. Conducts routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation 5. Implements and maintains a preventative maintenance program for facilities and equipment 6. Ensures compliance with district safety procedures and applicable codes and regulations 7. Responds to maintenance emergencies and coordinates timely repairs 8. Maintains inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; communicates needs to administration 9. Assists administration with obtaining quotes and coordinating vendors as needed 10. Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs 11. Supports building administrators with facility needs for daily operations and events 12. Promotes a positive image of the district through professional interaction with staff, students, and community 13. Fosters teamwork and a positive work environment by: Communicating respectfully Providing constructive feedback Taking responsibility for assigned duties Demonstrating pride in work quality 14. Assists with setup and teardown for school events and activities as needed 15. Performs other duties as assigned Occasionally, yet essential to this position, the individual must meet deadlines with severe time constraints, interacting with the public and other workers. Occasionally the position requires the employee to work irregular or extended hours, direct responsibility for the safety, well-being or work output of other people and meet multiple demands from several people.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides direct oversight of maintenance, custodial, and grounds staff in daily operations. Responsibilities include assigning work, monitoring performance, providing guidance, and reporting personnel concerns or recommendations to administration.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Four or more years of related experience required. Ten years of combined education and experience is preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Previous experience needs to include some combination of HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Building Construction, Commercial Electric, and other facility maintenance areas. Prefer industry certification in one or more of these areas.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to handle stressful situations with parents and community with leadership, sincerity, and understanding skills. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in a specific field. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies. Utilizes appropriate safety gear to minimize injury and exposure.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
