Maintenance Tech II

Maintenance Tech II highly skilled technician responsible for complex mechanical system troubleshooting, repairs, and leading technical projects. High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required. High level of safety and quality. Ability to multi-task at a fast-pace (at times), work in outside conditions during all seasons, climb multi-levels by stairs & ladders, work from elevated platforms, use hand tools (shovel, hammer, wrenches, etc.). Good problem-solving skills. Mine Safety and Health (MSHA) Knowledge

Ability to work as a part of a team with co-workers of various skill levels. Skilled in welding, cutting and rigging. Ability to run fabrication and hoisting equipment. Ability to work from elevated spaces (man lifts and crane baskets) in all weather conditions. Ability to operate all equipment on site. Ability to work at heights up to 80 feet without a lift A minimum of 5 years working as an maintenance technician in an industrial setting. Safely perform and oversee timely mechanical repairs to continuously improve plant processes and equipment. TROUBLESHOOTING AND REPAIR OF ALL ASSETS.

Complete WO's on schedule, establish good communications with operations personnel, Create project lists for their area. Cooperate with other maintenance personnel to ensure a seamless transition of workflow. Cooperate with Production Operators to make sure that maintenance work does not interfere with the quantity or quality of in process or final products. Troubleshooting, repairs and adjustments to production and safety equipment. Performs preventative mechanical maintenance in accordance with established procedures. Plans, assists with planning, and installs new plant equipment. Duties include implementing capital projects, staying within both schedule and budget requirements. Fill out all needed paperwork to record completed tasks, request needed tools and parts, and provide needed information to management. Documenting and managing system / process changes and improvements. Welding and other hot work. Research and ensure critical spare parts are on-hand. Additional duties as assigned.
